Editor’s note: McQ Club Tour is an ongoing video series that explores the different clubs on campus.
McQueen Bridge club meets every Friday in the Library.
Ever meeting begins with some healthy snacks and a quick game, however, every day and game is different, said club adviser and English teacher Shani Mustard.
“Just when you think you know what you’re doing, you learn a new strategy and it opens up more possibilities,” she said.
Originating in the early 1900s, this partnership card game can help increase many skills.
“[Bridge is] this ancient art that is not just a game,” Mustard said. “It teaches you strategy and uses math skills and even though you play to win, it’s a partner game where you play with someone else to outmaneuver other players.”
To participate, just show up to the library any Friday and join a game.
“The game is really only as hard as you make it,” student Larson Rivera said.
